Health and Safety are a top priority at Metro Asphalt for all employees, visitors and customers. Management is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for all workers and visitors that promotes the prevention of injuries and illnesses. All workers and visitors have the right to work in a safe, healthy work environment.

Metro Asphalt is accredited by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA). IHSA is Ontario’s top trusted health and safety resource. IHSA has accredited Metro Asphalt with its highest safety standard program COR. The Certificate of Recognition (COR) is a National accreditation standard that verifies the full implementation of an employer’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System. COR is often used as a condition of contract by the public and private sectors across Canada.

Along with COR accreditation, Metro Asphalt is also recognized under The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) under two provincial programs:
