Parking Lot Paving and Repairs

Parking Lot repair procedure:

- Inspect and identify all suitable asphalt repairs. Once we determine what asphalt repairs are necessary, we will spray paint & mark the areas.

- We then saw cut the repairs in straight edge form using an asphalt saw cutting machine. After saw cutting the areas we remove asphalt and dispose off site.

- Sub Base gets inspected for soft spots. New foundation is created with 3/4 crushed stone and compacted with heavy duty equipment. In some cases depending on the use of high/low trifurcated areas in parking lot, we may have to build a sub base with up to 16" of gravel.

- Once base is applied and compacted, we then spray a bonding agent called asphalt tacc coat glue to the surfaces of the base coat. To ensure proper bonding when the top coat of asphalt is applied; This will ensure a longer lasting pavement during freeze and thaw cycles which intern, getting less segregation of the asphalt.

- We then pave the final topcoat with 2 of HL3; therefore we final proof roll with heavy duty vibrating rollers to ensure a solid compaction ratio.
