- Catch basins allow surface water to drain from roads and private property. The water that falls into the catch basin flows into the storm sewer: an underground collection system for storm water and melted snow and ice.

- Not all catch basins are the same, repairs vary. Most common catch basins today are built on concrete rings and some other types are built on the older system which are on a brick and mortar system. This repair normally requires removing all the bricks and rebuilding with modern catch basin rings.

- Another type is a custom catch basin. It is a pre cast concrete itself and requires custom work. Normally we would have to saw cut the surface perimeter in 1" segment cuts, hand chisel them, then place catch basin rings as required. We then parge any gaps of damaged chisel work.
