SEALCOATING PARKING LOTS

- Asphalt sealcoating is one of the essential elements of maintaining your facility, or residential complex. A seal coat consists of a liquid coal tar emulsion. Sealcoating is used on pavement surfaces to protect against gasoline, oil, salt, and slows oxidation and water penetration. Asphalt sealcoating adds great presence to your premises.

PROCEDURES

- For best results prior to Asphalt sealer we suggest, to rout and seal/overbanding all cracks; and that all potholes to be removed and replaced. The entire pavement surface is power swept and machine cleaned free of dirt, debris. Oil spots are pre treated with an oil spot primer to ensure proper bonding.

APPLICATION

- Metro Asphalt strives on using up to date equipment. We use a right on power asphalt sprayer for larger projects; this unit is designed for quick and efficient application and provides even distribution of material while minimizing overspray. For smaller projects we use a manual spray gun powered by a reliable engine, driving a 25 gpm pump. Traffic should be kept off 15 to 24 hours to allow surface to dry for best results.
